THE BRIEF, THE BUILD, THE PAYOFF.
Brothers Redevelopment wanted to tell the stories behind its work through the people who had experienced its impact firsthand. Rather than building a traditional organizational video around programs and services, we developed Stories of Home as a documentary series centered on people, their experiences, and what having a safe and stable place to call home can make possible.
Across five films, the series explores housing through different perspectives from finding stability and community to preserving a home and having someone on the other end of the line when help is needed.
Each film was designed to stand on its own while contributing to a broader story about housing, dignity, stability, and community.
Our approach started with listening. Interviews were built around conversation rather than predetermined soundbites, allowing each participant’s experience to shape the direction of their film. Production then focused on capturing the environments, relationships, and everyday moments that could help audiences understand those experiences beyond the interview.
The series was produced in both English and Spanish, allowing people to tell their stories in the language that felt natural to them.
The result is a five-part documentary series created to give Brothers Redevelopment Inc a collection of human-centered stories that can live across fundraising, community engagement, digital communications, and organizational storytelling.

Their team approached each interview with respect and dignity, capturing the human impact of safe, stable housing while creating compelling content we could use across our communications channels.
